MP pays visit to training café

Caroline Flint, Labour MP for Don Valley, recently visited The Hot Chocolate Lounge where she met staff and heard about the project’s latest activities. She also donned an apron and tried her hand at the role of barista with the help of café supervisor Jo Patton (pictured) who guided her through the coffee-making process.

Our Lottery-funded training café has become a popular meeting place for local residents, workers and visitors from further afield. We host regular themed bistro nights and cater for various community events as well as working with local businesses to reduce food waste.  We also offer opportunities for work experience and training.

Remember that we’re open from 9am Monday to Friday to serve breakfast, lunches, snacks, cakes and hot and cold drinks including our delicious luxury Belgian Hot Chocolate.
